The quarries are located along the cordillera of Serra da Vereda and consist of a vein a mostly blue quartzite, which in some points takes different hues, ranging from white to golden, from black to purple.

 

Currently, six types of different materials have been classed, all from the same areas as the established Azul Macaubas.
