The main office of NORD-LB in Magdeburg, Germany, is one of the largest projects done with our material; it is 28 meters high and the façade consists of approximately 275 tonnes of natural stone slabs made of pale blue veined Azul Macaúbas quartzite from Bahia, Brazil.
Since its opening, the building complex, which is open from all sides and viewable by passers-by, has contributed considerably to the revitalisation of the cathedral square, not least due to the letting of shop spaces to higher-class retailers and dining establishments. Opposite the Magdeburg main office is the last building conceived by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the "Green Citadel".
